“Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music.” Sergei Rachmaninoff

"My daughter started playing the piano at age 7 (she's 14 now), she had had 2 different teachers when we found out about Tatsiana. It was a big upgrade in teaching as well as professionalism. My daughter's music theory as well as technique has skyrocketed so quickly. My child has achieved a level that I know is due in large part to Tatsiana's belief that every student can succeed if they're willing to do the work. She's organized in her lessons so each student gets a tailored education, she spends countless hours researching music pieces for each students level and personality. She doesn't move quickly through music pieces, she makes sure the student has fully learned the technique required. She puts a lot of effort in creating a personal relationship with her students, after three years with Tatsiana I would say my favorite quality is how invested she becomes with each of her students. Without hesitation she continually goes far and beyond to help her students succeed, I truly feel she is a high quality investment and worth every penny and our time.
My daughters favorite thing is that Tatsiana introduced her to the competition side of music (her other teachers never exposed her), it brought a wave of motivation to work harder that sometimes declines after years of lessons. Because of Tatsiana, my child has completed the ABRSM exams in level 1 (earned an invitation to play in the "Global High Scores Concert") and 2 with a near perfect score in both theory and performance and she recently received 1st place in division 2 in a sonatina festival. Tatsiana was relentless when she convinced our local PBS Student Showcase to interview my child on her success and future in music. My only regret is not finding out about her sooner so I gladly tell everyone I meet that Tatsiana is the Rolls-Royce of piano teachers!" Angelica Monroy Baida, a parent of Cicilia
"Thank you Tatsiana for all that you have poured into our son. Not only has learned how to play the piano but he has also developed a great appreciation for beautiful music. You have a real gift for teaching and making lessons enjoyable for your students. We love how you incorporate all facets of music instruction and are able to keep our son focused whether it be during music theory, sight reading or scales. We have found great joy watching him progress in his piano playing abilities, your enthusiasm has sparked a desire for him to create and compose his own pieces. You have been a great blessing to our family!" Nick & Thea Nachbur, parents of Reese

“Tatsiana is an excellent teacher. My 7 year old began taking with her and I cannot believe how much she has learned and progressed in 5 months! I love that Tatsiana makes sure that young pianists understand the fundamentals of theory and good technique AND also makes it fun. My daughter loves practicing and playing now. I can’t thank her enough.” Thank you again, we are so glad we found you! Kris Danford, Assistant Professor in Performance at Southern Oregon University , a parent of Stella
"I came to Tatsiana Asheichyk with some trepidation. I am in my late forties and was fearful that I had come crossed the threshold of "too old to learn playing the piano". While learning and/or playing the piano is not something that comes naturally to me, Tatsiana's patient and kind manner of teaching has allowed me to persevere. I am now in my third year of piano lessons. I enjoy learning, particularly since Tatsiana tailors the piano lessons for adults." Alma Rosa Alvarez, PhD, Professor of English at Southern Oregon University
"Tatsiana is a top-notch and talented professional. It has been a wonderful experience having her as our son's piano instructor. His progress has soared under her guidance." Eric and Erin Finney, parents of Solomon
"Tatsiana is amazing. I have seen what she is able to accomplish with my cousin Lily and my daughter Ruthie. Whenever I hear these girls play, my mind is blown. They are each proficient at reading music as well as knowing when to play loud vs soft and fast vs slow. Their piano playing is beautiful, sometimes I can’t believe it’s actually them making the music. Tatsiana is a professional when it comes to her standards and expectations, but what makes her special is her ability to also know her client. She knows when to push harder and when to slow down and soften up. I appreciate what Tatsiana has done for these girls in my family. Learning to play piano has taught them so much more than just the music. You will not be disappointed if you have Tatsiana teach piano to your child." Jeremy Stahmer, the father of Ruthie "My 8-year old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Tatsiana for the last two years, and we could not be happier. She's learned so much! Not only does Tatsiana work with her on how to read and play music, but she also works with our daughter on ear-training, which I wish I had done as a kid. Aside from being a very capable teacher, Tatsiana is also very accommodating. Last spring, my daughter wanted to learn to play the theme music to a video game that she had been playing over the summer, so we found the music and brought it to one of her lessons. Video game theme music, clearly, is not part of any standard piano music repertoire, but Tatsiana was totally fine with it and, over the course of a few months, helped our daughter learn every note. And Tatsiana now regularly asks that our daughter find music that she wants to learn, which helps keep her interested. Tatsiana's also gotten to know my daughter quite well. When I was excited at the prospect of purchasing a set lesson books that advanced more quickly than the previous set in order to push my daughter along, Tatsiana delicately suggested that we move my daughter along slowly for the time being, because she observed my daughter getting frustrated easily when she didn't learn something right away. "Oh! You're absolutely right! Heh, I should have thought of that..." What does my daughter think? She says that Tatsiana is "very good with correction," which apparently means that "she does it very nicely." My daughter always smiles after a piano lesson with Tatsiana--and not because it's over, but because she's enjoyed it. Thanks, Tatsiana!" Eping Hung, the father of Natalie
"Tatsiana has been been my daughter's piano teacher for almost a year now and we absolutely love her! My daughter's piano skills have improved tremendously since she is her teacher. I would highly recommend her to anyone!" Anita Bicskei, Ashland Living Magazine
"Tatsiana is an amazing pianist who is a dedicated teacher and passionate about sharing her wealth of knowledge to help her students reach their goals. " Ida Martin, an adult student
"Tatsiana is a great combination of a fine and Exemplary musician herself and a great teacher to her students. Our daughter was a basic pianist when we first approached Tatsiana to train her. Under her tutelage, over 2 years she has advanced her skills as a pianist to the point that she won a competition and scored distinction points in her ABRSM grade 1 exam. We are extremely grateful to have found someone as qualified, driven, and involved as Tatsiana to teach our daughter. As a teacher, she fully understands the potential of her pupils and the need to push them to attain excellence." Niharika's parents: Jaya Shah and Dr. Nishant Ranawat, MD, neurology specialist at ASANTE
"Tatsiana is an amazing piano teacher and lovely person. So inspiring, and I have never learned so much from any piano teacher. " Sharon Krause, L.Ac., Acupuncture therapist in Ashland, OR
"...Undoubtedly, she was among the very top students of our institution, she is a very gifted, very reliable, and she was determined and responsible student, who demonstrated remarkable progress, intelligence and enthusiasm. She was a great asset to our school. Tatsiana never fails to bring her best to every performance. She thrives on success and is determined to become the best pianist that she can be...” Dr. Alexander I Tutunov, NCTM, Professor of Piano - Artist in Residence, Graduate Coordinator, Music Southern Oregon University.
